With the development of today's technology regarding the computer world, also comes the danger. I am talking about viruses and malicious objects whose number is continuously increasing and can put your personal and precious information in danger. Not to mention hard disk problems that can also expose your personal information to risk. That's why it's a good idea to always have a backup copy of all your important information, because you can never know when it will come useful. Using Windows alone isn't of much help, as it doesn't have a special program for backing up personal information. That's why one should turn to a specialized application for backing up files and folders.

Backup Wolf is a good choice in this case. It's a backup program which features a lot of settings. The application can run on Windows, like most programs do, and to be more precise, it supports XP/2000/Vista and 7. You don't have to own a fast computer to run Backup Wolf, as its requirements are modest.

The tabbed information will get you started in a few seconds, without needing to get used to it first. One should first define a backup profile and enter a name for it. After setting this up, he can move on to selecting the source and destination path for backing up. These paths can be on the same hard disk, same partition or different hard disks and partitions. After setting up the paths, one can configure the software to back up files on a regular basis, when it detects a modified file in the source folder. Thus, the user can rest assured, knowing that he will always have his latest modified files backed up.

The backup process can be initialized manually, by choosing to copy all the files or only the modified ones. After each backup operation, a log file is created, stating exactly the complete program operation.

Pros

It features a tabbed interface that doesn't need getting used to it. Besides that, it can automatically initiate a backup when it detects modified files. What's more, it generates a log file after each backup process.

Cons

There are fewer features available than an advanced user would expect. Backup Wolf is a backup solution for saving all your files and folders on a regular basis.
